...and for once, we can't say we could get an original one for that kinda money.

For a while, I actually had no idea how expensive the original is nowadays because I couldn't find one, but I did now:

Man, you could get a Fort Max with that kinda money.
Not including the micromaster is kinda stupid, but I guess you could just get a loose Skystalker one. The only difference is the black torso, anyway.

Stepper pre-reissue? (which, after all the begging and pleading, shelfwarmed IIRC)

It's the whole rarity factor though. When I got bck into Transformers around the time of Beast Wars it was probably a couple of years before I even heard of this guy.

Given the rate of Takara-Tomy's current reissuing of G1 toys most of us thought we'd never see. I'd laugh my ass off if they decided to reissue Metroplex in the coming months, and then announce Metrotitan as a e-Hobby exclusive too.

I'd dare to argue that Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme are exceptions as they've never been released in Japan period.
Aside from them, Takara still seems to stick with the first year TFs, reissuing them over and over. Didn't God Ginrai and Star Convoy end up as shelfwarmers too?

It wouldn't surprise me if they were shelfwarmers in Japan, cos even the Japanese must get tired of seeing Convoy after Convoy after Convoy after Convoy once in a while.

They're rare, but he won't get $800. $400 would be more like it, maybe $500 tops because of the condition. Nobody should pay more than that.
Considering the reported poor quality of the Metroplex bootleg, I'd strongly advise people to stay away from both the Metros. The originals weren't all that durable (snapped waists), and these look/sound even more likely to break.

Well God Ginrai isn't really a Convoy
Besides, at least they were DIFFERENT Convoys as opposed to the exact same 1984 toy they seem to be reissuing over and over. Yet it obviously sells well enough to keep repeating it. What gives?
